Care Instructions

Sea Sponges

How to Use

  1. Soak your sponge completely. It will become super soft.
  2. Add soap if you like and lather up!
  3. Rinse your sponge thoroughly after each use until the water runs clear.
  4. Squeeze out excess water.
  5. Air dry in a ventilated area.
How to Look After
  • Don’t twist or pull sponge to remove excess water. Just squeeze!
  • Never use bleach or boiling water to clean. This will damage your sponge.
  • Never dry your sponge in a microwave/clothes dryer.
How to Clean
Try this every couple weeks or so to keep your sponge fresh!
  1. Soak sponge in a mixture of 1 tbsp of baking soda per 1 cup of warm water for 15 minutes if you have a small sponge. If you’re cleaning a larger one, make more mixture using the same ratio.
  2. Rinse, squeeze then air dry.
A little reminder...
Our sponges are sustainably harvested from the sea.
  • They’re carefully processed and cleaned but may contain small pieces of coral, shell or sea debris. Please check and rinse thoroughly before you first use them.
  • Each sea sponge is naturally unique. Unlike synthetic sponges, they’re not manufactured so shapes and sizes will vary.

Towels

How to Look After

  1. These towels are machine washable. Before you first use your towel, wash it separately to remove any excess lint left over from the manufacturing process. This won’t affect the look, feel, or performance of your towel and the amount of lint will decrease after each wash.
  2. Wash with similar colours and avoid washing together with items that have zips as they may get caught on threads
  3. If a loop is pulled (from a zip or sharp object), please cut with a pair of scissors. This won’t damage the towel. Please don’t pull it!
  4. When laundering, always use a mild detergent and please don’t use bleach as this may damage your towel.
  5. You don’t need to use a fabric softener as our towels are naturally soft and fluffy.
  6. Hang up immediately after each shower or bath and dry promptly after washing. If you don’t, your towels may get musty.
  7. We recommend you air dry your towels. After you remove your towels from the washing machine, give them a good shake and hang flat. You can dry them in a machine, but excessive tumble drying may cause premature wear and tear.
